Spent a day out with the Twitchers at Hannigfield Resevoir in Essex today, and here are the species of bird I saw which aren’t new to me:

Great Crested Grebe
Greylag Goose
Long Tailed Tit
Dunnok
Black Headed Gull
Coot
Cormorant
Canada Goose
Grey Heron
Mallard
Robin
Gadwall
Shoveler
Chaffinch
Mistle Thrush
Song Thrush
Blue Tit
Great Tit
Wren
Lesser Black Backed Gull

And the new species:
Chiffchaff
Brambling
Red Crested Pochard
Blackcap
Common Tern

All in all, a very good day of twitching!
