Update on the last few weeks…

February 26th, 2008

I haven’t had an update for quite some time–shame on me!

I had a fantastic weekend at the North American Handbuilt Bicycle Show in Portland, Oregon a fortnight ago.  My husband and I headed down to Portland early in the morning, and arrived around 10.00 am.  I took the train to the Convention Center:

and wandered around the room admiring lovely handbuilt bicycles for a couple of hours. I had arranged to meet up with some fellow members of BikeForums at 1.00 pm, so I headed out to the Starbucks for a cup of coffee…

What a great meetup! I got to meet several people in person, and it made a good day even better. After we all chatted for a while, we headed back in for some more gazing at bicycles. I got to meet the man who built my bicycle of the previous blog entry, Richard Sachs, too.

All in all, a great time!

So wait…you came down to Portland and didn’t tell ME!!! I would have even broken my Starbucks ban to sit with fellow C&V lurkers. ;-)

BTW, I took some pictures while up in Arlington WA a few weekends ago that I thought you’d like to check out. I don’t have a blog, so I’ll have to post them on flikr or something.

Sorry it took so long, here’s the pics of the nest from two different angles. The thumbnails should be clickable to the rest of the album (shots of me and my dogs out in nature).

    I hope that works!
