The Ospreys are back

April 19th, 2008

Well, not on Arran, but at Loch of the Lowes. The webcam is worth a visit since it is actually continuous video rather than frames. They’ve actually been back since 30th March and have eggs now. Ospreys are one of the great conservation successes and maybe one day they will start to breed on Arran, as maybe Red Kites will.

Following on from the last piece, we haven’t had success with our Barn Owl webcam (donated by the Arran Natural History Society) so far this season, but i see the Isle of Islay has there own one.
